Oh yes, I'm completely with you on filter feeders from polluted water, and i do understand the difference between eating, say, liver and muscle. But some of the domoic warnigs do include scallops, and some of the warnings are still in effect.
The scary thing is with domoic acid poisoning and this group, most of the ealy symptoms are mental, and nobody would notice until it was too late! ;-)
