Nice NAUI angle. Too bad it was a PADI OW class
otherwise it would be evem more pertinant. Nothing personal, but let's lay the facts as they really
are.

FTR, I have seen students injure themselves in 15'
of water.

I personally do not think it was an agency issue
rather than an instructor issue... but that's
another discussion. From my very first OW training
training experience I have had issues with the way
instructors handle students. Like I said earlier,
it's not an agency issue insamuch as it's an
instructor issue. But more of those "instructors",
I am finding out, train one particular agency's
agenda.

As the guy who cared for the diver the first 30
minutes afer his "training dive" - that is the
first 30 minutes after his instructor handed him
off to be - I am more than happy he's going to be
OK in the long run... and hope to see him again
on the boat.
