much more than anything else, if the camera gets warm between dives, you're gonna fog jumping into cold water.

Do not leave the camera in the rinse tank, not only because you'll get a nasty flood (no pressure on the orings, bouncing around with everyone's stuff), but because the water gets pretty warm. Have the DM put it in there, but go get it and put it in the galley or some other shaded area (or, as Elaine says, under a towel, even better if it's wet.)
