There is the beach area under the pier at Alviso. A lot of classes go there. It's calm.
Call SLO Currents dive shop. They're really good. Ask them about Pirate's Cove.
A lot of people dive about 100 yards inside Morro Bay. Nice enough place.
It's fun up there.
