Diving Centeral CA Lopez Rock to Vandenberg

I am thinking of meeting someone for a dive half way between Long Beach and SF. That would put it in the area of Lopez Rock or Vandenberg AFB. Any good diving in this area. Looks like a west beach and tought diving.

Any good ideas?
