Great job by your DM. As you well know I'm always slow getting in the water because I double check everything, usually annoying my dive partner in the process. Over the years I've forgotten gloves, hoods, weights, bug bags, etc.(hell I'm 54), but I've always checked my air and my partners air. It boggles my mind to imagine jumping in with my air off.
Tim I'm curious as to what your depth was at anchor. In my experience, you have always announced the depth both at anchor and stern during your dive briefing. I wonder if either of them actually heard what their bottom was. Just wondering what may have been going through that husbands mind.....
