Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to post my 'lessons learned.' I am one of those bad people that do not put my name on my dive equipment. A couple weeks ago, I came up with a missing mask and snorkel. Neither the dive shop, nor the dive boat has it in their possession.

I had my mask and snorkel in hand to put into my dive bag, however, a Pelican Case that was sitting next to my dive bag and had it's latches open. I somehow slipped into the Pelcian Case creating a skin tear and huge purple bruise on my shin. I dropped my mask down next to the Pelican Case and my dive bag while I hopped around the front of the boat in pain and agony. Once the pain subsided, I completely forgot to put my mask into my bag, therefore my lessons learned:

1) Put your name and phone number on all dive equipment.
2) Double and Triple check to make sure you have all your gear
together.
3) If using a Pelican Case, please make sure your latches are
not sticking up in case an innocent diver like my self
accidently bumps up against the case. I still have my bruise on
my shin, and it has been several weeks.
