Best way to keep bugs alive?

I'm going out to San Miguel on opening day, and I was hoping to save some lobsters for next week. Would it work to put the bugs in a cooler/ bucket with fresh ocean water for a few days? I was even thinking of putting in an air pump that I use on my fish tank to airate the water. Would this help? I also have a powerhead that I can use to create a small amount of current.
