After experiencing the best conditions California has to offer for local wreck diving yesterday we pushed our luck and went out again today. The top 70 feet was still blue with great vis, but we only had 15 feet vis on the Olympic II. Bughunter Bill arrived just as we were climbing the ladder. I hope they had a fun dive. As we headed for our second dive off Pt. Vicente the fog rolled in. We found blue water near shore at Whale Rock, but the current kicked our butts. After a half hour of rolling around in the surge we decided to head up as a group of four. I put some more air in my anchor liftbag to avoid snags. As DonS unhooked the chain from an overhang we were off on a ride. We had a short safety stop and climbed onboard for lunch in the fog. It didn't clear until we pulled into the marina. Perfect timing.
