What I meant to say was on a selected weekend in August when the tide exchange is at it's mildest.
The reason I do this is:
1. Less ab divers booked in the campground because many of them typically like to dive during extremely low tides- easier to get to the deep ones (so they think).
2. Currents are generally less so we can dive the offshore stuff better/safer.
3. Visibility tends to be better due to less water flow.
4. I can anchor by boat in the bay for the evening a little closer in and not worry about huge tidal changes upsetting the mooring.
Hope this helps.
