Balanced and pretty accurate. The "DIR message is about hate and derision" crowd are like Johnny Cochran's closing statement that "You can't trust the message if you can't trust the messenger." Does that crowd believe OJ was innocent?
I agree with you DIR has attracted a wannabe contingent who are into it for very dubious reasons. Just look at the physical condition of some of its most vocal constituents and you'll see "Do as I say not as I do" is alive and well. Also true are the criticisms of intolerence, arrogance and kept minds by those same vocal constituents. It is the nature of any social environment that the loudest are often the most radicalized. However, those who would throw the whole idea into the trash just because the idea has attracted block heads are just as two dimensional as those they criticize.
