Ira Burdine has sold the Magician to Jerry Lewis (who owns the Sea Bass) and Ira plans to move to Arkansas for his retirement.
I first met Ira in 1981 when he was running the See Vue and I was teaching for Sundland Sports Lodge - The Dive Shop. I also used to crew for him occassionally. Ira's certainly a character and has made tremendous contrbutionds to the local diving community, as well as having been a very strong supporter of Chamber Day since it's inception. He will be missed.
Jerry ran his first official Magician trip today (Sunday) with Jim Hoffman. Jerry also is selling the Sea Bass, but it will remain a dive boat.
