I have found that skins can make you colder becasuse they can allow more water to flow through the suit.
I use a skin in wetsuit. My suit is completly slick on the inside and seals against me skin. Almost no water gets in. Using anything under such a suit would defeat the design.
Skin in suits are sold by Henderson as "Gold Core" and by AquaFlite as "OceanLiner." Many custom suit makers offer skin in suits as well.
The skin does have a use for tropical suits, where it can reuduce chaffing.
