Tim,
Cambira and San Simeon are on the coast west of Paso Robles in central California. It is a beautiful that I have always wanted to dive.
I have seen elephant seals from only a few feet away when I was on San Nicolas Island, but I was unable to take pictures because the Navy does not allow you to bring cameras.
There are mane pictures of elephant seals online, you might start with a Google search for elephant seals.
