Catalina is the most popular dive destination of the 8 Channel Islands off of Southern California. It's fun with kelp beds, good vis, lots of life, some sea lions and perhaps a Giant Black Seabass to see.
Go to http://californiadiveboats.com/ and look at the schedules of boats going out of San Pedro or Long Beach. Great Escape and SunDiver are popular boats that go there regularly.
It will be lobster season. Limit is 7. Take by hand. Be sure to know your regulations.
There are really no wrecks of interest unless you go to Wreck Alley in San Diego.

Enjoy the diving, seahunt
