CIMRI is a non-profit public benefit corporation dedicated to enhancement, research and educational programs of fisheries and other marine resources in Southern California. It was incorporated in January, 1997.

CIMRI directly benefits Ventura County and other counties in Southern California. Students in kindergarten through college and adult education can make use of CIMRI facilities and programs. Information resulting from the application technology at CIMRI is available to marine resource managers, resource enhancement groups, and commercial aquaculturists.

Curriculum used at CIMRI can be extended to supplementary exercises in the class back at school. This integrated curriculum solidifies otherwise complex concepts.

The site of the CIMRI facility is a portion of the property and buildings formerly occupied by the Naval Civil Engineering Laboratory at Port Hueneme.

Join with marine biological educators, students and concerned citizens to gather landing data of Southern California marine fish.
