I just got back from Africa and thought to post a short review of our diving. We dove Aliwal Shoals with Andy Cobb in South Africa doing a shark specialty course and a couple extra wreck dives. The surf entry alone is worth it for the testosterone laden diver! We saw flying fish, dolphins, and 2 humpbacks surface 15' from the inflatable we were in. During a dive on the Produce Wreck the humpbacks were singing and you could hear them quite clearly underwater. Made the wreck seem haunted! Also dove an old steam freighter, the Nebo. The sharks we saw were Ragged Tooth Sharks, or Sand Sharks as they are known here and known as Nurse Sharks in Australia. Africa is beautiful, and not just the diving.
