we use an UltimaII rated for 6,000 gals. We have a 1/4hp motor that runs 24 hours and we figure it turns the water every 50 to 55 minutes. There are two UV lights and the waterfall for aeration. Every 5 days we loose about 300 gals (we water the lawn with it!) and we treat new water. The pond is crystal clear and very healthy. It costs us less than 30 bucks a month to run. Our biggest expence are the chem treatment for the municipal water...

The temp has dropped to 57 and the fish are noticably less active and less hungry.

It was lots of hard work, but 100% worth it!

Elaine swing on by and you can jump in there with your camera! The water is clear and the fish aren't shy at all~
