Well, I'm not worried about a glo at night fish being a good competitor with local species really, but your points are valid.
As far as the consequences, I like to study that and I don't worry about new critters near as much as newly introduced natural critters... Zebra mussel for example or that African worm that went after abalone or that seaweed from the Mediteranean/Austrailia in the San Diego lagoon.
Heck, lets just hope that there is an ecology to protect in a while.
