Peter....eat it. Maybe we should all be vegans and just eat kelp.....wait!....what about the kelp forests? DFG and National Marine Fishieres try to maintain a balance that will sustain a sport fishery. Enforce the law! At one end of the scale you have people catching and releasing 10 lb. lobster, and at the other you have people proud of sprearing a 4 inch sheephead. Enforce the law! Eat all of the fish (or kelp) that you want as long as it is legal. Don't try to recruit people into your political (PETA) way of thinking just because some "sport" fisherman left a fish on the deck.
