I couldn't agree more Chris! Why are our state waters being exploited on behalf of foreign markets? The benefeciaries are too few to justify the damage being done! From Nov 27 to Dec 3, over 2 million lbs of squid went straight into Fish Harbor! Year to date, 44 million lbs of OUR sardines went into Fish Harbour.
I think the good people of the state of California should actually have a say in what happens to THEIR resources. They might not approve of their waters being a premier supplier of longline bait for the world's fleets!
The living resources of the state of California belong to ALL its residents and not only to a handfull of individuals who exploit it for personal gain.
We all share the loss, but do we share the profit?!
