It is going to be tough to get people who do not kill the animals to give money to an orginization that basically sanctions the killing of wildlife in OUR waters. If the dept were to make some meaningful inroads into protecting the underwater wildlife, then i think people would be willing to make a donation. The way i see it, any money i give to the dept that isn't earmarked for a particular program, goes to benefit the consumptive users which is contrary to my interests.
The dept needs to give greater consideration to the non-consumptive users.
When i look up stuff about a particular fish, the literature tells me how to cook and eat it! Not exactly what i want to know....
