Actually, the idea of getting some ships for wrecks down here in what I call "Catalina Conditions" (usually calm, usually clear) keeps coming to my mind. I think that the Channel Islands could become a real international dive destination if there were a few good wrecks off Catalina and maybe one off of SBI or Clemente. If that's tantilizing, think of an aircraft carrier for the wreck. Look at the huge popularity of the Yukon that usually has bad vis, is colder than Catalina and is very exposed to the weather. Wrecks can provide fun, beautiful diving.
