Ross-O, BrianB and I had great plans to place a marker on a local wreck and map a few other possibilities today. When we met at the marina the wind began to pick up, but we decided to give it a shot. Upon arrival at our target the whitecaps were everywhere and we climbed a few seven foot swells on the way out. While metering the site I hit a lobster float with the props, jamming it between them. Ross, already having his drysuit on and a big lover of adventure said he would get in the water and free the float. About thirty minutes to an hour later he managed to get back on the boat. Even with hood, gloves and the outside of his drysuit covered in salt water, he managed to lose ten pound just from sweating. He now has greater respect for commercial divers. One of the blades from my inner prop got a one inch haircut, but we were able to tuck our tails between our legs and limp home. I'll bet the bottom conditions were perfect today. The surface, though was Victory At Sea.
