My AOW instructor told me there is a valet service provided by the Catalina Express for transporting your gear to the Pointe. Can't remember the price. It was cheap though.
You go to the kiosk near the dock were they sell the Catalina Express tickets.
Found this out after the C. Express wouldn't allow me to bring my little red wagon on board.
Also ended up taking a taxi that day to the Pointe. Improved my setup though. Now I have a rubbermaid action packer. looks like a hollowed out ice chest and was only $20 at Lowe's. A nice aluminum fold flat dolley, $100 from graingers. And 2 bungee cords. 1 to strap my Action Packer down and 1 to strap my take to the top of it.
When I'm done diving I trow my wet often sandy gear in it and head out . No mess no fuss. When I get home I stick the hose in it and let it soak over nite. Voila!
Sorry if I'm bragging but it's a great system and felt like sharing my idea. Maybe I should take some pics.
