Chuck: Thanks for the info. I've dove monterey probably about 25 times. I usually dive/kayak dive the Central Coast near Morro Bay/Cambria. Cambria is a place teeming with fish. Diving near Cambria Rock is my favorite. I usually spearfish there. The water is from 45-60 feet deep- many lings, a few big reds, and hundreds of black/blue/other rockfish. Hardly any divers there, but lots of kayak fisherman/aluminum boaters. Vis. can be limited at times, but I've seen some very good days with vis to 30 feet. I don't usually spearfish Monterey, but wondered about the amount of fish life there. It is a great place to dive. Call me someday and we'll dive Cambria when the swell is flat and the water clear. Thanks, B. Xavier
