Please make sure the people on your charters aware of any DFG regulations that are changed during the season. Example: the rockfish, sheepshead and ling closure that happened late last year.
Up north of The Point those fish are open but they are still closed down here until late Feb (I think).
Also, if a diver comes up with an olive rockfish thinking it was a calico, kindly inform him or her that it is not of the correct species. I found it hard to tell the difference once and shot one by mistake . The crew just asked me to put it back which I kindly did.
