Mr Sonke, why do the residents of the good state of California have to be so burdened on behalf of a foreign market. Squid caught in California state waters belong to the residents of California and should not be exported. We all share the loss of this most vital forage,(and other ill effects) but WE recieve virtually NO compensation in return. I suspect that your dept could use some of the revenue from that extraordinarily profitable fishery? Does the dept plan to fix this injustice in the furure??
