As I was complimenting SoBay Jim on bringing the topic into the board I didn't think I'd be taken to task about my "noodle" and the gravity of my "message" which was merely a thank you.
I did not express an opinion so don't get your panties in a wad over it. I have thought about the closures and the protection of the local marine environment and I think it's a bad idea to open these areas up. Yes, it would help the near term bottom lines of some local businesses but at the risk of taking too many scoops from an already out of balance ecosystem.
Perhaps you should use a few more of your noodle electrons and imagine a perspective which doesn't place maximum sustainable yield and dollars for people at its core.
