Maybe we as divers and lovers of the ocean should hire a lobbyist to challenge the current catch limits on the basis of future tourism revenue being generated by having & maintaining the healthiest marine ecosystem in the US. Would not that make more money for local economies than allowing the few to extract a major food source and ship it overseas while our marine animals die off from starvation? Who would want to visit/dive/fish here if the sea is empty?
