Comments on the dive: This site has potential but the water quality leaves something to be desired. Every time I go there it has a strong ocean smell and my car reeks afterwards. Dive gear covered with small bits of plastics. Site leaves you wanting a bath. We were bug hunting. Entered next to the Chart House Restaurant and surface swam to about 40-50 yards short of the corner of the break wall. Dove along the wall at the bottom until the middle of the front wall and then worked the top 10-15 feet on the way back. Strong surge in places moving us 8 feet. Had to fight the surge on the way back. Saw 4 bugs, caught 3, and released 3 shorts.

VIS: 20-25 Ft.
MAX Depth: 41 ft.
Surge: occasionally 2 ft or so, not a real issue.
Time of High Tide/Low Tide: High: 12:19 a.m 4.7 ft. & 12:20 p.m 3.7 ft. Low: 6:38 a.m. 1.4 ft.
Surf if beach diving: 6 inch would be the big one occasionally.
Water Temp: 55 Suunto degrees
Air Temp: Same 57 Suunto degrees
Comments on the dive: This is always a nice dive. Did not see the 6 bat rays of last trip, but still we had a nice dive. Saw the usual suspect of Garibaldi and small juvenile fish. Found two lobster traps wedged into cracks in the rocks with no lines attached. Two nice sized fish (12-14 inch long) were trapped in one. The last storm must have really moved some stuff around. Aside from that it was a great dive.
