don't really expect answers, but i thought it was worth a try...

According the the State Constitution, the living resources belong to the residents of the state.

Do we know if every license holder/broker is actually a legal resident of California?

Are there any stipulations in the law that says that the state's residents (owners) of the resource shall be a minimum percentage benefactor to any extraction from the state waters?

(Why are more squid being extracted from state waters than are being consumed by the residents of the state)

Do the residents of the state of California have any legal obligation to supply the export market with squid extracted from their waters?

Why do we continue to allow a fishery who's beneficiaries are obviously too few to justify the damage done to our shared resource?

************************************************

Between Jan 22 and Jan 28, 1,370,000 lbs of Californian's squid went straight into San Pedro....
