I'd recommend staying away from dive partners your own age. Dive instead with very experienced adults -- your parents or friends of your parents. Even "mature" 15 year olds simply don't interact with the world or stressful, dangerous situations the same as adults -- so have one of you be an adult who is an experienced diver. Best also that this person already knows your parents, so that they're not concerned about who the 35 year old guy is that you're now disappearing with for hours...
