Recovering lost color in under water images

I made all of the following using Paint Shop Pro 6.01, in an effort to recover color lost becasue of the light filtration of water.
- Use the image mixing tool to mix the green into the red, reduce the grean, and sometimes mix green into the blue, or adjust the constat.
- make the new layer about 75-95% opaque, instead of the default 100% so the orignal shows through.
