The D.F.G. allows the commerical guys to keep one per trip. The D.F.G. calls it by-catch. They can keep and sell them. 300 pounds times $12.00 a pound = $3600.00 for a big one. If the fish is 50 years old, $3600.00 divided by 50 yrs = $72.00 a year. So Sad.
I am sure some of them fish where they are and just happen to catch one every so offen.
