I can't speak to the current situation with Scubapro discounts since I haven't volunteered at the Aquarium for a while, but I do know this:
Reefseekers, especially Billy, has been working tirelessly FOR YEARS to secure donations of free equipment for the Aquarium diver program. Every time I suited up for an aquarium dive, I put on BCs, fins, gloves and hoods donated through Reef Seekers. By your logic, it would have been more appropriate for the AOP to have bought these items at full retail to support our local dive shops.
