I've been to Kona twice. The first time the dive operation was so unmemorable I can't even remember the name. The second time I went with Jack's Diving Locker. Thier standard trips were ok. The ones I enjoyed were the 2 & 3 dive advanced charters.
No matter where you go I would book some of your diving now, especially for weekends.
I find a 3mm full siut is best for Kona, and when I went I was glad I brought my California dive jacket for the longer charters, especially the 3 dive one.
