I am posting a photo of a sarcastic fringehead that I took this weekend. I was out in the sand looking for macro subjects in Starlight Cove. As I looked up I saw this unusual looking fish coming toward me. I put my Nikonos with the 1:1 extension tube out in his direction hoping that maybe I could get a photo. To my surprise he put his head directly in the framer and was looking at it with a great deal of curiosity. He let me fire off four shots before he lost interest and continued his way across the sand. It was a very interesting encounter. A larger framer would have been more appropriate to the size of his head, but who would have ever thought something like this would happen.
