I am not receiving compensation for this, I just wanted to pass on
info about a great dive operation and their forth of july three day
live aboard out of Santa Barbara. The trip is the 4,5,6 of july. You
can sleep on board the night of the third. You will wakeup at your first dive site on the fourth. They run dives from 7am to after dark, generally more dives per day than any person should do. All air and hot food is included in the price.(you supply gear and tanks) The crew really takes care of the divers.
The dive boat company is truth aquatics, the boat is the
conception. It's about 75 feet long. The sponcer is the scuba
center http://www.escubacenter.com on camp pendleton.
This is a fairly serious(but fun) group of diver/hunters, and tend
to be a little more safe and aware than your usual group. Since the shop is on base, business at The Scuba Center has been a little slow with all the marines leaving for Iraq. I like to dive with them and would just like to help fill up the boat so they keep doing trips.
The cost for the trip is $425. paid through the scuba center.
buddyless divers are welcome as everyone seems to rotate buddies
anyway.
