Sounds like you are coming to the LA area and want to dive. Did I get that right?
Mostly the boats around here leave from the Los Angeles Harbor in San Pedro or Long Beach (these locations are pretty much next to each other) or from a couple of hours driving distance to the north out of Ventura.
There is a Dive Boat section here at Diver.net and that will let you find what boats have open charters at that time. A lot of visitors also like to go to Catalina Island and play tourist and do the dive in the underwater park there.
What kind of diving are you looking for? There ae a lot of old divers here that can give you suggestions for a good time.
