How does the Long Beach Aquarium compare to the Monterey Aquarium? I was just down to Long Beach a couple of months ago and stayed across the bay from the Long Beach Aquarium. I didn't go because I thought. I was spoiled by the Monterey Aquarium. Sounds like from your post that I may have made a mistake. This area seems strange without Long Beach's old Pike.
