I was just talking to a couple guys at my local dive shop and they are talking about putting a non-profit together to do exactly that. Apparently the cost is pretty high to do this even with the Navy subsidizing the cost of the boat you still have to pay for the cleaning and transportation from the boat yard to the site you are going to sink it at. Not to mention getting the state to give permission to sink it. So, I would say we all need to get ready to give our support when (and if) someone gets set up to put the idea into play.
