I took this photo last weekend at Santa Barbara Island. It is California Hydrocoral (Stylaster californicus) with a white sponge growing on it. In the background there are some brown cup corals (Paracyathus stearnsi), club-tipped anenomes (Corynactis californica), assorted hydroids, encrusting sponges, and what appears to be a patch of encrusting hydrocoral (Stylantheca porphyra).
I thought you might enjoy using this image for wallpaper for your computer desktop.
