On open circuit (HP 100), I dive with an 19 pound
belt + 6 pound backplate. On the Dolphin, I dive
a 24 pound belt and six pounds in the shoulder
pockets. So five more pounds on the Dolphin than
on the HP 100 open circuit. Talking to other
Dolphin divers, this is typical.

The Dolphin allows some control of the amount of
gas in the bag by how you line up the velcro on
the back flap. I "underlap" the velcro so there's
more room for the bags to expand (I'm 6' 5").
A normal size person should line up the hook with
the loop, and a small person should put the velcro
on the flat about a 1/2" outside of lined up.
