There was a gent who started his lectures by mentioning when he was young, blasting the sea gulls off of La Jolla for the fun of it. He said time and attitudes change. That was John Muir.
Mr. Cousteau gained a lot of animosity in the Monterey Bay region while filming Grey Whales. He repeatedly ran over whales while trying to seperate calves from their mothers.
