If you really think we have a different attitude today, read the U.S. Oceans Commission report that will be released on 4-20. I have been diving for more than two decades and see the same destructive behavior now that I saw 20 years ago, and the same constructive behavior. Monster bug contests still dominate, there are now more of us chasing fewer resources. Photographers "pose" sea life....and so on. This isn't a condemnation as I am part of the people who did these things. By the way, did someone give JMC a ceremonial bowl so he can wash his hands of his father's reputation? The sins of the father have been visited on the son and the son did damn fine as a result.
