Try and get the "average" consumer, whatever that may be, to see beyond the "great deal". People truly believe that you can get like quality for cheap. Next add in vendors who fix prices then sell to internet "dealers" and who then sell for nearly the retail store cost of goods; what you get is a failing industry chasing a buck by lowering prices and quality.
In the end the consumer will lose but there is little to nothing an individual shop or shop owner can do to turn this around.
Anyway enough of my rant...
