On one hand you have coastal people. Who have a problem with seagulls and would like to get rid of them or at least chase them off.

On the other hand you have "Save Mono Lake". Mono lake is a premier nusery for seagulls. The plentiful brine shrimp feeds them. Thousands of seagulls out in the middle no where. Californians had the chance to let the coyotes have them. Instead they complain about their droppings in the ocean. ohhhhh, pretty seagulls until they crap on the beach.

There once was a problem with blackbirds in Kansas, with the countless blackbirds. The governor of the state at the time. Shot, cooked and ate some blackbirds. In a attempt to spur hunters to join him and create a hunters paradise for blackbirds. I imagine a lot of blackbirds got shot, but I imagine few of them were ate.

Now if our present Governor would be so generous. As to shot, roost and eat some seagulls. It might make California's seagulls a hunters paradise. At least untill they were put on the endangered list.
