The inaccurate SUN DIVER incident apparently has been reported in every major newspaper in the world. Inaccurate when it states: "...forgotten at sea by a boat crew...", thus giving the impression it was the skipper and his crew's fault and not the dive shop that charted the boat. Okay, the ultimate blame buck stops with skippers but there are exceptions to the rules at sea. The fortunate outcome of the incident is the diver's safe recovery and, dollars to doughnuts, from now on ALL charter dive boats will require/demand eyeball to eyeball check-ins by its skippers before the boats move an inch from the dive spot. I hope the diver doesn't take this to litigation, but if he does it'll be a real test case for waivers.
