I much prefer a weight belt rather than an integrated BC becasue there are no special parts to replace if you loose them, especially since I have seen many accidental weight releases from integrated BCs. It is also always easy to get weitht belt weights when I travel. However the Dive-Rite transpac and similar BCs can easily be set up either way. Thus it is possible to have it both ways.
